The following describes our use of your data. Loading and running the App indicates you understand and consent to these terms.

When you install the App on your mobile device, it creates a universally unique identifier (UUID).
This UUID is generated randomly and is not based on your identity.
There is no innate connection between this UUID and your name, address, telephone numbers, place of employment, email addresses or any other personal information.
The UUID is saved on your mobile device in permanent storage so it can be recovered and reused by the App.
The UUID is not retrievable nor exposable from your mobile device by legal means.

You can provide an email address and/or school or business, but are not obligated to do so.
It is at your discretion whether this email address and/or school or business are related to your actual identity.
We do not enforce any requirement on the email address and/or school or business.
The email address is used to auto-fill the relevant field when sending crosswords.
Your email address and/or school or business may be used to verify your identity to award prizes for promotions and contests.

The App provides capabilities to send completed crosswords.
We do not record, monitor, nor restrict the delivery of these crosswords.
Once delivered, the crosswords will be available through your regular email client.
Anyone with access to your email account can view these crosswords.
Third parties, including the recipient’s POP, or IMAP server, may be used to deliver the emails.
These third parties may have different policies than we do with respect to handling emails including recording, monitoring or restricting delivery.
We have no control of, and we do not endorse or condone, the email handling policies of these third parties.

The App makes use of remote servers to create and send crosswords.
The remote servers are in a secure location and protected by multiple levels of security.
Your email address and/or school or business, if provided, are stored on the servers.
All the crosswords you create, including the solutions, are also stored on the servers.

The App provides the capability to purchase additional crosswords.
During the course of purchasing additional crosswords, receipts are generated and validated.
The receipts are generated by the App distributor who encode and/or encrypt them according to their individual policies.
We typically do not attempt to decode nor decrypt these receipts, but instead rely on the App distributor to validate.
In the event that there is an issue with the App distributor which prevents them from validating receipts, we may resort to internal validation using alternate means.
For security, fraud prevention and accounting reasons, we store these receipts permanently.

We display advertisements from third parties to help offset costs.
Depending on your preferences, these advertisements may be tracked by these third parties for future use.
By displaying these advertisements, we are not endorsing nor condoning their tracking, privacy, and/or information sharing policies.
By viewing these advertisements, you agree that we are not held accountable for the actions of these third parties, including but not limited to: the appropriateness of the provided content, the interface provided to interact with the advertisement, or any undesired consequences resulting from downloading, purchasing, or interacting with the product or service being advertised.

We provide a web site with web pages for students, professionals, and marketing & support functions.
The web pages we developed on this web site are in plain XHTML, or in PHP to in turn generate plain XHTML.
No cookies are generated or saved on these web pages.
Some web pages may link to or embed content of third parties such as Google, YouTube and Twitter.
We have no control of the privacy and information sharing policies of these third parties.
By using these third parties, we are not endorsing nor condoning their privacy and information sharing policies.

We occasionally run promotions and contests for prizes, typically additional crosswords.
Because we have no way to identify you, we may use the provided email address and/or school or business to verify identity.
We may use your school or business to promote that you have won a prize, but will not disclose your email address.
For accounting purposes, we need to archive these transactions on our system.
We will not distribute email addresses and/or verified identities to any third party.
